A federal judge upheld the U.S. Forest Service’s authority to keep a 250-mile motorcycle race out of the habitat of the bi-state sage grouse in Nevada, ruling against the Sierra Trail Dogs Motorcycle and Recreational Club.

The club, which had staged the Mystery 250 dirt bike race in June for 25 years, claimed in a 2018 lawsuit that the Forest Service bypassed the environmental review process.

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame invites all fans of motorcycling to an open house and bike night on July 11, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the campus of the American Motorcyclist Association in Pickerington.

The museum, located at 13515 Yarmouth Drive, will open to all visitors at 9 a.m., with displays that provide an in-depth look at the history of motorcycling in America. The bike night will kick off at 5 p.m. with music, food trucks and more. At 7 p.m., the Hall of Fame will draw the winning ticket for the 2020 raffle bike, a 1973 BMW R75/5 sidecar rig.

The past several AMA Supercross seasons, Eli Tomac has come up just short of winning the 450SX Class title. But this season, the 27-year-old Monster Energy Kawasaki Team rider got the job done. Tomac, the three-time and reigning AMA Pro Motocross 450MX champion, claimed top honors in AMA Supercross’ premier class, finishing the season 25 points ahead of runner-up and 2019 450SX champion Cooper Webb, 384 to 359.
