Hours: 8:45am – 5:00pm Thursday-Sunday

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $11.50 /hour – Reviewed after 90 days


Job Summary

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame is seeking a part-time employee to serve as a Museum Clerk. Must be punctual, comfortable working with the public, and able to change tasks quickly. The Museum Clerk will perform a wide-variety of duties including but not limited to opening and closing the museum, processing gift shop inventory and sales, and working with databases.

Ideal candidates will possess excellent customer service skills, be familiar with museum practices, and be willing to take on new projects and challenges. Maintaining professional standards and ability to work independently are very important for this role. Knowledge of motorcycles and the American Motorcyclist Association is highly desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

As a customer facing role representing the AMA, an elevated level of client engagement is a critical job function.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the museum
  • Operating admissions desk
  • Engaging visitors
  • Processing gift shop inventory
  • Processing sales from the museum gift shop
  • Answering phones
  • Data Entry
  • Light cleaning, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The Museum clerk will report to the Director of Operations.
